MILWAUKEE, W.I.(KCCR)- The Republican National Convention wraps up today in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Among the South Dakota delegation to the convention is District 24 State Senator Jim Mehlhaff of Pierre. Mehlhaff says the Conference has gone well.
Mehlhaff says security has been very tight around the event given the assassination attempted on former President Donald Trump.
Trump will address the Convention Thursday night and Mehlhaff says there is anticipation for what the 45th President will say.
The Democratic National Convention is scheduled for August 19 to the 22nd in Chicago, Illinois.
