ABERDEEN, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – The Aberdeen Area Humane Society’s Rescue run 5K-10K event is set for Saturday, Oct. 5 at the Brown County Fairgrounds.

As Elaine Schaible, Humane Society Manager, explains this it not a typical run.

Cost is $35 to run or walk with a dog, and $30 without a dog. All proceeds will benefit the Humane Society. Registration is at 9:30 a.m. with the event at 10.

Schaible said participants are allowed to go at their own pace.

Following the race, there will also be a micro chip clinic set up at Centennial Village.
