YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- Ongoing research is finding some new drugs that can slow the onset of Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia in some people.
South Dakota Alzheimer’s Association Executive Director Leslie Morrow says there are other steps that can help slow the disease.
Morrow says too much processed foods can have a negative effect.
Morrow says taking care of your health can help hold off Alzheimer’s too.
The association is also backing a bill in the legislature (HB1078) that would provide funding for additional adult day services and respite care.
