PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- The South Dakota Senate Transportation Committee listened to a presentation Wednesday on a resolution that would urge the state Transportation Department to reconsider the plan to convert the current four lane Highway 46 layout in the City of Wagner to a three-lane design.
Garrit Juffer from Wagner told the committee that the Transportation Department misled the city council.
D.O.T. Operations Manager Mike Behm (beam) said they don’t have a four lane option in the construction plans.
Acting Committee Chair, Senator Jessica Castleberry of Rapid City said they appreciated all the input from Wagner folks but a resolution probably wouldn’t change much.
The committee voted four to two to send the resolution to the forty first day, effectively killing it.
