Retailers leader says Governor’s decision helped many businesses survive

PIERRE, S.D. (WNAX) – Doing business and staying open during a pandemic is new to everyone.

Nathan Sanderson, Executive Director of the South Dakota Retailers Association, says there are few guidelines.

Sanderson says most customers seem to understand the situation.

Sanderson says the decision by Governor Kristi Noem to not shut down businesses in the spring helped many survive.

Sanderson says many businesses took advantage of state and federal loan programs but want to get back to normal as soon as possible.
