YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- A review is underway of the support used and needed by community service providers in South Dakota.
Senator Jean Hunhoff of Yankton says those providers have seen costs rise and financial support drop over the past few years.
Hunhoff says the pandemic got in the way of the review.
Hunhoff says there is a combination of state and federal dollars involved.
The states portion of Medicaid costs increases as average wages rise, impacting the state’s general fund.
