SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (WNAX) – The ribbon cutting for the Community College for Sioux Falls was held Wednesday at the former University Center. The college will be managed by the University of South Dakota, with cooperation from South Dakota State and Dakota State Universities.
Earlier this week, Board of Regents Executive Director Paul Beran appeared before the Interim Joint Appropriations Committee to answer questions about the college.
He says they expect student numbers to rise and fall.
Beran says the college is operating under the USD budget.
Beran says there is a lot at stake in the transformation.
The college hopes to attract students in the Sioux Falls area who weren’t thinking of higher education after high school.
