Richmond Dam update

ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- On Tuesday, the Brown County Commission provided their weekly update on the Richmond Dam and spillway project.

Brown County Commissioner Duane Sutton relayed message from South Dakota Commissioner of School and Public Lands, Brock Greenfield.

Greenfield informed Sutton that the water levels are now back to what they were prior to the rainstorm that hit in McPherson County in May.

Sutton told the commission about what Commissioner Greenfiled was telling him about concerns with the detour on 127th Avenue.

Another issue brought up was the issue of signage.

The commission continue to encourage residents to stay away from the pipes used to help with the drainage of Richmond Lake near the dam.
