Ridgway named Vice President of Health Affairs, Sanford School of Medicine Dean

VERMILLION, S.D. (WNAX) – The University of South Dakota has named Dr. Tim Ridgway as the new vice president of health affairs and Sanford School of Medicine Dean.

He will start Sept. 1 and replace the retiring Dean, Dr. Mary Nettleman. Ridgway says he learned a lot by working with her.

Ridgway says the medical school is in a good place.

Ridgway says the school has a very clear mission.

Ridgway is a native of Ravinia, a 1984 graduate of the USD Sanford School of Medicine and has been practicing since 1991.

He currently is on the staff of the Royal C. Johnson VA Hospital in Sioux Falls.
