Roadwork set to begin on SD State Highways in southeast SD this week

PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- Despite the lingering winter weather, the construction season is imminent.

South Dakota Department of Transportation regional engineer Greg Rothschadl says the barricades are ready to go up on Highway 46.

Rothschadl says the contractor plans to be out in force next week.

Rothschadl says the lingering winter hasn’t slowed construction much, yet.

Rothschadl says other projects in southeast South Dakota include clean up on Highway 18, and work on Highways 52 and 19.
