GROTON, SD (HubCityRadio.com) – On a breezy day with wind gusts in upwards of 40 miles per hour, the Aberdeen Roncalli Cavaliers would travel east on highway-12 and take care of business, en route to a victory at the Groton Invitational on the links.

The Cavs finished thirteen strokes ahead of the Sisseton Redmen and Groton placed third, with Madison and Redfield rounding out the top five teams.

Individually, Roncalli’s Mackenzie Wegehaupt & Claire Crawford would tie for the medalist position, both carding a (+13, 85) for the sunny, breezy & at times, a bit dusty afternoon on the course. Kinsley Heath of Sisseton finished in third place with a (+16, 88) and Roncalli’s Ava Danielson placed fourth (+17, 89) and Carlee Johnson of Groton & Elliot Hortness of Sisseton would tie for fifth place at (+18, 90).
