WASHINGTON, D.C. (WNAX) – Several news outlets reported that President Trump made critical comments about American solders when he failed to visit a U.S. Military cemetery in France in 2018.
South Dakota Senator Mike Rounds says he has never heard anything like that from the President.
The President later said that the generals didn’t like him because “they want to do nothing but fight wars.”
Rounds says in his work with U.S. Commanders they are totally respectful.
Rounds says he believe the President respects the U.S. Military.
The President was in France in 2018 to mark the one hundredth anniversary of the end of World War One.
