PIERRE, S.D. (KCCR) – Flood waters continue in engorge the Missouri River and could be for a while. South Dakota Senator Mike Rounds has kept a close eye on the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers management of the Missouri since the 2011 flood. He says flooding chances are a long way from being over.
Rounds says the Corps run-off estimates last year at March first were off by 45 percent.
Rounds says the central Missouri Valley is not necessarily in the clear.
Rounds says as long as good communication continues with the Army Corp of Engineers the additional flood threat should be minimal.
