WASHINGTON, D.C. (KCCR) – The U.S. Senate is expected to take up an appropriations package this week that would fund a number of domestic programs for 2020. U.S. Senator Mike Rounds says the process should have been done by now.
Rounds says the continuing resolutions or C-Rs and pushing the appropriation process can change funding for certain functions of government.
Rounds says while he won’t support another C-R, he says there may be another push to hold the status quo. He says Democrats had suggested tacking on nearly a 1,000 social issues onto two defense related appropriations bills.
The current continuing resolution expires in three weeks.
