WASHINGTON, D.C. (WNAX) – South Dakota Senator Mike Rounds caught some national attention this week when he seemed to defend the Presidents pay offs to porn star Stormy Daniels.

Rounds says he didn’t intend to defend the President’s actions.

Rounds told CNN he thought the President was making the payments because of his love for his family.

Rounds says he may have been misunderstood.

Trumps former lawyer, Michael Cohen, told a Congressional committee that he was reimbursed for payments made to Daniels and another woman.
