Rounds says any name changes should include review process

WASHINGTON, D.C. (WNAX) – President Trump has threatened to veto the $740 billion “National Defense Authorization Act” over a provision that would remove names of confederate generals from U.S. bases.

Senator Mike Rounds says the bill is a long ways from the President’s desk.

Rounds, a member of the Armed Services Committee, says there should be a review process.

Rounds says it should be an open ended process.

Rounds says the name change amendment could go too far if military cemeteries are included.
