Rounds says no reason to cut back on ethanol

WASHINGTON, D.C. (WNAX) – Ethanol industry groups are contesting waivers the Environmental Protection Agency has given to large oil refiners that cuts back the amount of ethanol they have to blend into gasoline.

South Dakota Senator Mike Rounds says there should be no reason to short out the gallons of ethanol needed.

Rounds says the renewable fuels law is pretty clear.

Rounds says expanding the use of E-15 could help with the demand side.

Rounds says he would also like more information from the EPA on the refiner waiver process.
