WASHINGTON, D.C. (KELO.com) — Senator Mike Rounds happened to be the keynote speaker at the Lincoln Day Dinner attended by Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg the night of the tragic accident.

But Rounds says he had little interaction with Ravnsborg because he is trying to stay out of crowds, especially due to his wife’s ongoing battle with cancer.

Ravnsborg was driving home from the dinner in Redfield when he struck and killed a pedestrian west of Highmore.

Senator Rounds is waiting for the results of the investigation like the rest of us.
