FORT PIERRE, S.D. (KELO.com) — Senator Mike Rounds usually talks policy and politics, but right now, he has more important things on his mind.

His wife, Jean, is battling cancer.

Rounds tells Kelo Radio’s It’s Your Business Show that the support for his family has been overwhelming, from across the political spectrum and from around the world.

A Democrat friend of the Republican Rounds in Pierre decided to get involved with a special t-shirt made with Jean on it.

Jean Rounds has an aggressive form of sarcoma cancer. She is getting treatments at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
