Rounds shares thoughts on upcoming election, current state of politics

WASHINGTON, D.C. (HubCityRadio.com) – Things in Washington always seem to be a bit chaotic, but in an election year during a pandemic, things are even more magnified.

South Dakota Senator Mike Rounds has his own election to think about. He is facing Democratic challenger Dan Ahlers in the upcoming November election. Rounds said the best thing he can do is continuing to serve the needs of South Dakotans in Washington like he has done.

Rounds said during a national election year, things bog down in Washington.

He said another stimulus bill to help combat coronavirus can’t even make it to the floor.

Another key topic in Washington is the nomination of the next Supreme Court Justice. Rounds said he will wait for the process to play out before voicing an opinion.

As for the current COVID situation, Rounds said common sense has to rule the day.
