WASHINGTON, D.C. (WNAX) – While the U.S. House works through the impeachment inquiry, Senators have been briefed on rules for holding the trial.

South Dakota Senator Mike Rounds says they would have a single focus during the Presidential trial.

Rounds says Senators would have to sit and listen during the proceedings.

Rounds says most Senators are not focused on the ongoing House investigation.

At least three House committees are interviewing witnesses in the impeachment inquiry.
