PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- South Dakota Senators met in Pierre Tuesday to set the rules for the impeachment trial of Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg.
Senator David Wheeler of Huron introduced the first resolution.
Senate-President Pro-tem Lee Schoenbeck of Watertown introduced the second resolution.
Schoenbeck says this may be the most difficult issue any of them have ever dealt with.
Schoenbeck says the impeachment will be a special proceeding.
Both resolutions passed on a thirty to zero vote.
The Senate will return to Pierre on June twenty first to start the trial. It will take a two thirds vote to convict the Attorney General.
