Runoff into the Missouri River improved in July

OMAHA, N.E.(WNAX)- Runoff into the Missouri River system improved slightly in July.

Ryan Larsen with the Corps of Engineers in Omaha has the numbers.

Larsen says the runoff came from above normal rain in parts of the basin.

Larsen says soil moisture levels continue to drop.

Releases from Gavins Point Dam are at twenty five thousand cubic feet per second and expected to rise slowly to meet downstream demands.
