VERMILLION, S.D. (WNAX) – The Republican majority in the South Dakota Senate selected committee leadership for the 2021 session.

Senator Art Rusch of Vermillion will chair the Judiciary Committee.

Rusch is a former states attorney and long time circuit judge.

Rusch says they will probably have to handle more online meetings and witnesses.

Rusch says there is uncertainty in how the session will be handled in the face of the pandemic.

The Executive Board will meet next week to receive interim reports and talk about procedures for the January session.
