Saints Soccer Ends 2021 On A High Note

Aberdeen, SD (PCSaints.com) – The Presentation College Saints ended their season with a 1-0 win over the College of Saint Mary. The Saints finish their season 4-10-1.

The only goal of the game came early in the first half when Delainey Williams set up Amy Turner, and Turner was able to find the back of the net to put the Saints up 1-0. The goal gave Turner the team lead in goals on the season with five. The assist also gave Williams the team lead in assists on the season with two.

After a slow first half in regards of shots. The Saints bombarded the Flames goalie early in the second half, really pushing the pace. The Saints finished the game with 16 shots, and 10 on goal. Williams, Turner, Isabella Burger, Alyssa Correa, Lara Kershaw, Georgia-May Murphy, and Yasmin Knock all recorded shots on goal for the Saints.

Goalie Aspen Payne stopped all six shots she faced on the afternoon to record a shutout. It is the first career shutout for the freshman goalkeeper.
