ABERDEEN, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – The Salvation Army handed out approximately 750 meals to school-aged children last week when schools where closed due to the COVID-19 virus.
Major Dale Hunt said there were a lot of people involved in the process, including one local business which had extra food that was donated to help feed the children.
Hunt that a group of volunteers came together quickly which was instrumental in getting the food to eight different locations.
A large share of the volunteers came from staff members of local schools.
