ABERDEEN, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – It’s red kettle time for the Salvation Army.
There are four kettles currently displayed with two more to be added. Major Mary Hunt of the Salvation Army talked about the locations and this year’s goal.
She said that volunteers are always needed and people can sign up online to see the spots available.
There is an option called kettle pay. People can point their phones at a logo on the red kettle signs and donate directly without touching money.
Hunt said that because of the pandemic this year, donations are down and needs are up.
Salvation Army will also provide its annual Thanksgiving Meal next week. Because of the virus, that will feature some changes from past years.
