Salvation Army serving Christmas Dinner Wednesday, Dec. 23

ABERDEEN, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – The Salvation Army is gearing up for its Annual Christmas Dinner.

The event will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 23. People need to RSVP by 4 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 21 if they would like a meal delivered. Major Mary Hunt talked about the event.

She said that a record amount of people were served at the Thanksgiving Meal last month.

Hunt said that it is a bit difficult to get a handle on how much food to prepare for next week, but she is expecting another big turnout.

Hunt said the Red Kettle Campaign is going well. Kettles will be out until 4 p.m. on Christmas Eve. She noted that the Salvation Army provides assistance all throughout the year, not just at the Holidays.
