Lobbyist Julie Johnson acknowledge the legislature passed the bill back in 2022 & that SB173 will help with process going forward.
Among those that is opposed to this bill is the Bureau of Finance Management who is awaiting word from the Federal Government with regards to funding for this program.
The committee took no action on this bill Monday.
Among the groups supporting SB173 are the South Dakota Association of Health Care Association & the SDSU College of Nursing.
