PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- The South Dakota Senate Transportation Committee heard a bill Wednesday that would add more definition to the allowed uses of state airplanes.
The bills sponsor was Senator Reynold Nesiba of Sioux Falls.
The bill grew out of an ethics investigation into the use of state airplanes by Governor Kristi Noem.
Lake Area Technical College President Tiffany Sanderson said if the bill passed, it could ground their aviation program.
The committee sent the bill to the forty first day, killing it, on a vote of six to one.
