PIERRE, S.D.(KCCR)- A bill to support renovation of the State Health Lab in Pierre has cleared one more hurdle to becoming law. Senate Bill 58 was before House Appropriators Wednesday. Interim Health Secretary Joan Adam says while the 26 year-old building is structurally sound; technology has outgrown it.
Adam says a renovated health lab will have an impact across the state.
The nearly 70-million dollar project will use American Rescue Plan Capitol Projects fund dollars to fully fund the renovations. S-B 58 will move to the House floor on a seven-zero veto.
