PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- A South Dakota House Committee will begin hearings this week on Articles of Impeachment of Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg. That follows the release last week of several hours of investigative interviews with the Attorney General in connection with car – pedestrian death of Joe Boever of Highmore last September.
South Dakota House Speaker Spencer Gosch has appointed a ten-member committee to begin outlining the Impeachment process for Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg.
Representative Ryan Cwach of Yankton is the democratic member of the committee.
Cwach says there will be a legislative and legal process at the same time.
Cwach says the Impeachment process could have a bearing on the legal case.
Representative Mike Stevens of Yankton says the release of those interviews was very unusual.
Stevens, a criminal lawyer, says all the information so far has been very one sided.
Stevens says the legal process has been disrupted.
Ravnsborg has been charged with three misdemeanors in connection to the car – pedestrian death of Joe Boever of Highmore last September.
