ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- On Wednesday, the South Dakota Alzheimer’s Association will be hosting an education seminar titled “Understanding Alzheimer’s and Dementia”.

Executive Director Leslie Morrow explains how this event came about.

Morrow talks about one of the goals of this seminar is to compare the differences between Alzheimer’s Disease & Dementia.

Morrow talks about item to be discuss is the latest medial research that’s being done.

Morrow also update on medications being used to combat Alzheimer’s.

Drugs are approved by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration, but for now not covered by most insurance.  Morrow update that one insurance company is now taking steps to change that.

The seminar will take Wednesday, August 23rd from 9:30-10:30am at the Aberdeen Senior Center.
