SD Board of Regents express concerns about schools in Sioux Falls & Rapid City

PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- Educational facilities in Rapid City and Sioux Falls operated by the Board of Regents will continue to evolve and change their operations.

Regents Executive Director Brian Maher told the legislatures Government Operations and Audit Committee the centers have not met their expectations.

Maher says the Rapid City center has begun the change in focus.

Maher says the Community College of Sioux Falls is also under further review.

SB55 was passed by last years legislature and set an extensive review of the Regents and the six state universities. Those recommendations have been sent to the legislature and Governor Kristi Noem.
