MADISON, S.D.(WNAX)- The South Dakota Board of Regents heard budget requests from the six state universities at their meeting in Madison last week.
University of South Dakota President Sheila Gestring says their priority is remodeling a building at the Community College of Sioux Falls.
Gestring says expanding the GEAR center has been on their list for a while.
Gestring says they also want to continue the Coyote Business Center they started during the pandemic last year to help students find internships.
South Dakota State University President Barry Dunn says their priority is renovations for a building in Sioux Falls.
Dunn says Ag Hall on campus in Brookings also needs some updates.
Dunn says they would also like to expand their on campus computer center.
Dunn says they have also been encouraged by legislators to include a twenty-five-million-dollar expansion of their meat science and processing center.
Regents heard requests totaling almost one hundred ninety million dollars from the six universities.
