PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- As the consumer price index, or rate of inflation approaches eight and a half percent, there could be a trickle up impact on businesses.

Dave Owen, President of the South Dakota Chamber of Commerce and Industry, says his members are feeling the impact.

Owen says there will be shared pain.

Owen says the state chamber will have an outlook seminar this fall.

Owen says many of his members are still dealing with supply chain issues along with a continued shortage of workers.
