WASHINGTON, D.C.(WNAX)-South Dakota Congressman Dusty Johnson says executive actions by President Biden and democrats ramming bills through Congress isn’t a definition of unity.
The President has proposed a one point nine trillion-dollar Covid relief bill, while Senate republicans are supporting a six hundred billion dollar proposal. Johnson says pushing Covid relief through the budget process would include too many extras.
Johnson says neither party has been good at bipartisan actions.
A group of republican Senators including Sen. Mike Rounds met with the President Monday looking for a compromise on the relief bill.
