SD Corn will hire two executive directors

SIOUX FALLS, S.D.(WNAX)- South Dakota Corn will be hiring separate leaders for the Corn Utilization Council and for the Corn Growers Association.  That was announced at a meeting of the Corn Utilization Council on Friday in Sioux Falls.   After coming out of executive session Council President Grant Rix also announced they had agreed to offer a contract to Jon Farris of Mitchell to serve as interim director of operations and oversee their forensic audit.

Lawyer for the Council, Brett Koenecke (ken-a-key) of Pierre provided names of three firms that had inquired about conducting their forensic audit.  The Council voted to offer a contract to ELO CPAs and Advisors of Sioux Falls.

Rix also appointed a committee to oversee that financial audit.

Association President Scott Stahl says they’ve appointed a four-person search committee to look for a new executive director and will post the listing on the South Dakota Corn joint website by next Friday.  The Council will have a separate listing in the near future.
