PIERRE, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- On Wednesday the South Department of Health provided a briefing regarding the latest update on COVID-19.

State epidemiologist Josh Clayton update on the increase in cases & hospitalization over the past 2 weeks.

Dr. Clayton also said it’s important for pregnant women to get the COVID-19 vaccine.

Secretary of Health Kim Malsam-Rysdon tells us the latest study coming from the CDC regarding the impact of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Malsam-Rysdon lets us know when those age 16 & older can now get the COVID-19 vaccine.

The next scheduled briefing on COVID-19 from the South Dakota Department of Health is Wednesday, April 14th.
