PIERRE, S.D.(HubCityRadio.com) – The state reported 10 new COVID-related deaths, while active cases & hospitalizations increased, according to figures released by the South Dakota Department of Health. The death total currently at 3,088. The state had 953 new cases and 894 recoveries, increasing active infections to 665. Those hospitalized in connection with the virus is 83.

So far, South Dakota has had 266,843 cases and 263,090 recoveries.

Locally, Brown County had 58 new cases. Overall, the county has had 11,568 cases. There’s currently 129 Covid-related deaths.

Statewide, Minnehaha County has had 62,575 cases, followed by Pennington County with 37,441 and Lincoln County with 16,868, Other counties totals include Codington with 9,928, Brookings with 9,070, Meade with 8,095, Lawrence with 7,556, and Davison with 6,742.
