PIERRE, S.D.(HubCityRadio.com) – The state reported 10 new COVID-related deaths, while active cases increased & hospitalizations decreased, according to figures released by the South Dakota Department of Health. The death total currently at 3,200. The state had 752 new cases and 651 recoveries, decreasing active infections to 564. Those hospitalized in connection with the virus is 44.
So far, South Dakota has had 279,882 cases and 276,118 recoveries.
Locally, Brown County had 22 new cases. Overall, the county has had 12,207 cases. There’s currently 136 Covid-related deaths.
Statewide, Minnehaha County has had 65,333 cases, followed by Pennington County with 39,019 and Lincoln County with 17,529, Other counties totals include Codington with 10,660, Brookings with 9,525, Meade with 8,400, Lawrence with 7,790, and Davison with 7,105.
