PIERRE, S.D.(HubCityRadio.com) – The state reported 14 new COVID-related deaths, while active cases & hospitalizations increased, according to figures released by the South Dakota Department of Health. The death total currently at 3,167. The state had 983 new cases and 842 recoveries, increasing active infections to 757. Those hospitalized in connection with the virus is 73.

So far, South Dakota has had 276,655 cases and 272,731 recoveries.

Locally, Brown County had 64 new cases. Overall, the county has had 12,038 cases. There’s currently 134 Covid-related deaths.

Statewide, Minnehaha County has had 64,725 cases, followed by Pennington County with 38,615 and Lincoln County with 17,387, Other counties totals include Codington with 10,525, Brookings with 9,425, Meade with 8,322, Lawrence with 7,732, and Davison with 7,029.
