SD Dept of Health reports 2 new COVID-19 related deaths

PIERRE, S.D.(HubCityRadio.com) – The state reported 2 new COVID-related deaths, while active cases decreased & hospitalizations increased, according to figures released by the South Dakota Department of Health. The death total currently at 3,223. The state had 265 new cases and 304 recoveries, decreasing active infections to 202. Those hospitalized in connection with the virus is 34.

So far, South Dakota has had 282,402 cases and 278,977 recoveries.

Locally, Brown County had 4 new cases. Overall, the county has had 12,297 cases. There’s currently 137 Covid-related deaths.

Statewide, Minnehaha County has had 65,809 cases, followed by Pennington County with 39,358 and Lincoln County with 17,649, Other counties totals include Codington with 10,793, Brookings with 9,588, Meade with 8,474, Lawrence with 7,858, and Davison with 7,172.
