SD Dept of Health reports 2 new COVID-19 related deaths

PIERRE, S.D.(HubCityRadio.com) – The state reported 2 new COVID-related deaths, while active cases & hospitalizations decreased, according to figures released by the South Dakota Department of Health. The death total currently at 3,231. The state had 216 new cases and 290 recoveries, increasing active infections to 133. Those hospitalized in connection with the virus is 33.

So far, South Dakota has had 282,895 cases and 279,531 recoveries.

Locally, Brown County had 5 new cases. Overall, the county has had 12,316 cases. There’s currently 139 Covid-related deaths.

Statewide, Minnehaha County has had 65,927 cases, followed by Pennington County with 39,396 and Lincoln County with 17,672, Other counties totals include Codington with 10,815, Brookings with 9,599, Meade with 8,488, Lawrence with 7,900, and Davison with 7,186.
