PIERRE, S.D.(HubCityRadio.com) – The state reported 3 new COVID-related deaths, while active cases & hospitalizations decreased, according to figures released by the South Dakota Department of Health. The death total currently at 3,046. The state had 631 new cases and 634 recoveries, decreasing active infections to 435. Those hospitalized in connection with the virus is 63.

So far, South Dakota has had 263,468 cases and 259,990 recoveries.

Locally, Brown County had 52 new cases. Overall, the county has had 11,366 cases. There’s currently 124 Covid-related deaths.

Statewide, Minnehaha County has had 61,994 cases, followed by Pennington County with 37,129 and Lincoln County with 16,691, Other counties totals include Codington with 9,697, Brookings with 8,968, Meade with 8,021, Lawrence with 7,451, and Davison with 6,543.
