PIERRE, S.D.(HubCityRadio.com) – The state reported 3 new COVID-related deaths, while active cases & hospitalizations increased, according to figures released by the South Dakota Department of Health. The death total currently at 3,099. The state had 1,108 new cases and 962 recoveries, increasing active infections to 759. Those hospitalized in connection with the virus is 74.

So far, South Dakota has had 268,797 cases and 264,939 recoveries.

Locally, Brown County had 37 new cases. Overall, the county has had 11,647 cases. There’s currently 130 Covid-related deaths.

Statewide, Minnehaha County has had 63,033 cases, followed by Pennington County with 37,620 and Lincoln County with 16,966, Other counties totals include Codington with 10,075, Brookings with 9,121, Meade with 8,130, Lawrence with 7,597, and Davison with 6,814.
