PIERRE, S.D.(HubCityRadio.com) – The state reported 3 new COVID-related death, while active cases & hospitalizations increased, according to figures released by the South Dakota Department of Health. The death total currently at 3,152. The state had 747 new cases and 639 recoveries, increasing active infections to 533. Those hospitalized in connection with the virus is 54.

So far, South Dakota has had 274,676 cases and 270,991 recoveries.

Locally, Brown County had 41 new cases. Overall, the county has had 11,909 cases. There’s currently 133 Covid-related deaths.

Statewide, Minnehaha County has had 64,399 cases, followed by Pennington County with 38,332 and Lincoln County with 17,306, Other counties totals include Codington with 10,437, Brookings with 9,329, Meade with 8,261, Lawrence with 7,695, and Davison with 6,984.
