PIERRE, S.D.(HubCityRadio.com) – The state reported 4 new COVID-related death, while active cases increased & hospitalizations decreased, according to figures released by the South Dakota Department of Health. The death total currently at 3,149. The state had 575 new cases and 464 recoveries, increasing active infections to 428. Those hospitalized in connection with the virus is 49.

So far, South Dakota has had 273,929 cases and 270,352 recoveries.

Locally, Brown County had 28 new cases. Overall, the county has had 11,868 cases. There’s currently 133 Covid-related deaths.

Statewide, Minnehaha County has had 64,278 cases, followed by Pennington County with 38,239 and Lincoln County with 17,271, Other counties totals include Codington with 10,385, Brookings with 9,294, Meade with 8,243, Lawrence with 7,680, and Davison with 6,960.
