PIERRE, S.D.(HubCityRadio.com) – The state reported 4 new COVID-related deaths, while active cases & hospitalizations decreased, according to figures released by the South Dakota Department of Health. The death total currently at 3,204. The state had 643 new cases and 785 recoveries, decreasing active infections to 418. Those hospitalized in connection with the virus is 44.

So far, South Dakota has had 280,525 cases and 276,903 recoveries.

Locally, Brown County had 38 new cases. Overall, the county has had 12,245 cases. There’s currently 136 Covid-related deaths.

Statewide, Minnehaha County has had 65,454 cases, followed by Pennington County with 39,108 and Lincoln County with 17,565, Other counties totals include Codington with 10,681, Brookings with 9,541, Meade with 8,404, Lawrence with 7,797, and Davison with 7,142.
