PIERRE, S.D.(HubCityRadio.com) – The state reported 5 new COVID-related deaths, while active cases & hospitalizations decreased, according to figures released by the South Dakota Department of Health. The death total currently at 3,209. The state had 483 new cases and 541 recoveries, decreasing active infections to 355. Those hospitalized in connection with the virus is 41.
So far, South Dakota has had 281,008 cases and 277,444 recoveries.
Locally, Brown County had 10 new cases. Overall, the county has had 12,255 cases. There’s currently 137 Covid-related deaths.
Statewide, Minnehaha County has had 65,535 cases, followed by Pennington County with 39,190 and Lincoln County with 17,588, Other counties totals include Codington with 10,724, Brookings with 9,548, Meade with 8,430, Lawrence with 7,813, and Davison with 7,141.
